Think about passive prevention! Trust in my experience !!
I have never had malaria or travellers’ diarrhoea!

Electricity current - 240 volts and UK sockets! Remember to bring an adapter
if you live in Europa, or if your country's sockets are of a different standard.

Covering an area of 582,640 km², Kenya has a population of almost 30 million inhabitants
and its capital is Nairobi. Kenya is officially a republic. This East African country, bathing
by the Indian Ocean, is bordered to the north by Sudan and Ethiopia, to the east by
Somalia, to the south by Tanzania and to the west by Uganda.

Kenya has more than 400km of coast lined with islands (Lamu), separated from the
Indian Ocean by coral reefs. There are two main rivers, the Tana and the Galana.
The country is in fact a wide arid or semi-arid plateau, that covers 4/5ths of Kenya.
The highest summit is Mount Kenya which reaches 5199m at its peak. Further west
the huge depression of the Rift Valley is marked by a succession of steep cliffs.

Historical outline.

1895: protectorate then British colony from 1920 .

1952-1956: Mau Mau revolt; harsh British suppression and arrest of Kenyatta who
is freed in 1961. . 1961: autonomy.
1963: independence of the country as part of the Commonwealth.

1992-1996: ethnic troubles that will soon lead to the " closure " of some western
regions.
1998: Anti-American terrorist attack in Nairobi.

Kenya won its independence in 1956, after the end of the Mau-Mau's terrible struggle
the parti that rose up against the government established by the English. Elections
took place in 1957. A new constitution was drawn up, with strict monitoring
by the British Government. Official positions were split according to race.
